Former Location of Japanese Collection

Many Japanese videogames have been translated and sold in US, usually under different names. Even the videogame systems themselves have different names:

Famicom = Nintendo
Super Famicom = Super Nintendo
Megadrive = Sega Genesis
Mega CD = Sega CD
PC-Engine = Turbo-Grafx 16

Sony Playstation, Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64, Game Gear, Game Boy have the same name on both sides of the Pacific Ocean.

However, some games have been sold only in Japan, especially many games from the Final Fantasy series.

We used to store the Japanese game songs on this page, but starting August 2000 we placed the songs into the US game system pages with "(Japan)" tags. This page remains to let people know where the songs were moved to.
