Re: Firefox crashing

Did you really just revive a topic that's over two and a half years old? I mean, honestly, the then-current versions of Firefox being discussed aren't even officially supported anymore, not even for security. The original poster never even responded, which leads me to presume he either solved his pr...

Re: Delete

Regarding your MIDI, the procedure is just to re-submit a fixed version using the same name.

Regarding the other MIDIs...

Re: Stolen song?

I've not listened to either, but one thing you might want to consider when determining which is the original if one indeed is stolen instead of how it's labeled is, you know, when it's submitted. The second one you linked was submitted over three years before. Unless someone has found out how to ste...

Re: Help, please

Ah, this reminds me of that time some idiot tried claiming my Super Mario Kart Rainbow Road sequence was his to an acquaintance of mine. Even to my face, he tried claiming it was his, including all of my hand-drawn pitch bends that were identical. Face it, Lunar - some people just never learn and ju...

Re: What, ripped midis being accepted?

TestDummy, that's highly inappropriate. In any case, if I were still on staff, they would all be deleted. Rips are not allowed per the rules, even if adjusted. What was acceptable when I was update coordinator a few years ago after Pongball was using rips as a reference at times but only as such. No...

Re: .2sf player for MAC ??

You know, I forgot all about Wine for some reason. It wouldn't provide native Mac support, but it does work, at least in Linux. It also supports Winamp just fine and probably foobar2000. That is, if your Mac is Intel-based and not PowerPC-based.

Re: .2sf player for MAC ??

I looked up information about an Audacious port for Mac. I know the version of Audacious2 included in Ubuntu can play 2SF files, but I don't know if you'll find a port of that plugin for Mac. I only use Windows and Linux, so I don't really know. Best of luck to you.

Re: Looking For A Music Sequencer

MIDIs cannot contain their own samples. That said, modules require that you supply all your own samples. However, tracking modules is quite different from sequencing MIDIs, and I can't help you there.

Re: S-YXG50 Update

Vista and 7 both require new driver models for any audio to be produced, so you can't get it to work in them, unfortunately. Data will still get sent through the virtual interface, allowing MIDI Yoke to still work in 32-bit Vista and 7, but the old driver models will not work to produce sound, simil...

Re: Issues with my SNES A/V cable

They didn't change the A/V cables for their consoles until the Nintendo Wii since the SNES. A cable for the SNES will work on an N64 and GCN, a cable for the N64 will work on the SNES and GCN, and a cable for the GCN will work on the SNES and N64. Presumably, they changed them for the Wii so people ...

Re: Putting the "submit" button to the left please?

subsilver2 is indeed part of the default installation for phpBB3, but it's disabled by default. It's there, just not active for people to use.

Re: Internet Issues

Quite frankly, she's completely ignorant as to how those things work herself. She wouldn't lose any significant speed unless you were using P2P, and that would go if you were using wireless or wired. Home routers are mostly just intelligent switches, and switches keep collisions down. The risk from ...

Re: Internet Issues

Honestly, if you used WPA2 with AES encryption and a sufficiently long and complicated key, I do believe you'd have almost no risk for such hacking. That said, since she's so adamantly opposed to the idea, the standard for CAT5e cables allows for up to 100 feet of cables in total before the signal n...
