I don't recall why i needed this program, but it seems to work nicely and is a bit of upgrade using edirol hyper canvas 1.6 over the original windows midi.

Question folks, I'm using Windows 7 and I downloaded S-YGX50 VST. It plays but for some reason after some time it shuts off and I have to unload and reload the plugin. Why is it doing that? Is it a demo or is it because its not compatible? Do I need to run it in compatibility mode? Is there a link anyone can send me with a working version of this VST. I really need this to play some of my old song files. Also I heard there is a S-YXG2006LE VST plugin (without gui) does anybody know where I can get this? Can I use this on Windows 7 as well?

I had a demo of a vst do that before. It wasn't the one you mentioned, but it did get me irritated enough to pay the $20 to buy it.

The problem is this is discontinued product. So its not possible for me to "buy" does anybody have a link anywhere I can get the full version?

You will need a cracked version of the S-YXG50 VST in order for it to work.

Please forgive a newbie question. I'm merely an end user, who has become fond of playing music through the Yamaha S-YXG50, using MediaMonkey as the jukebox program. (Although I do have SOME geek cred: 20 years as sysadmin and DBA). I had it working on Windows XP. I've been studying multiple forums all over looking for a way to get it to work on Windows 7 and 8.

So, I got to page:
https://github.com/mudlord/vstdriver
which instructs me to "just run the installer". Huh? I downloaded the zip file:
vstdriver-master.zip
When i uncompress it, I don't see anything that looks like an installer. No .exe file, no .com file, no setup file, no .inf file.

I saw MaliceX's comment: "DC64: On the right hand side, there's a big button that says Downloads. When the box pops up, click the EXE link."
I don't see any download button on page https://github.com/mudlord/vstdriver . On what page is that big button?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

OK, after much searching I found a .exe file, not on github at all. I got VST MIDI to install, then I got it pointed to
C:\Program Files (x86)\YAMAHA\YAMAHA\S-YXG50.dll
That connection is good enough that when I click configure VSTi, it brings up a Yamaha screen titled "VST Editor", which has a setup button that then opens a window to configure polyphony & effects. So that all looks good.
Meanwhile, in MediaMonkey, I can go to the Nullsoft MIDI Player 3.09 configuration screen, and I see choices for a VST MIDI Synth (port A), and for a VST MIDI Synth (port B). However, if I choose either of those, I get no sound output. If I choose Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth of CoolSoft VirtualMIDISynth, then I do get music.

I suppose I'm missing a step. Can anyone suggest what it is?

Thanks for your time and consideration.

OK, I was dumb. I had to close the VST MIDI Synth configurator for things to actually connect up.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for a successful product!

Thank you for your awesome programs, Mudlord. I'm using both the BASSMIDI driver and the VST MIDI Driver. So far they're working without a hitch on my Win 7 x64 system. I've made a MIDI with the S-YXG50 VST using your VST driver, it sounds great!
