Support Case-insensitive File System?

Postby joe1203 » Thu Nov 05, 2009 8:05 pm

I found that some game files have the same filename with different capitalization, it works fine on *nix, but not on M$ Win,
e.g.
http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/ni ... ex-sz.html
Super Street Fighter II
Vega Stage 19260 bytes Steve1 Info
vega.mid

Street Fighter II Turbo
Vega 362069 bytes Orihalcon Info
Vega.mid

When I download MIDIs from VGM, I will keep the original name for easy tracing and avoid repeated download,
I just curious if admin has any comments on this?

It's an artifact of the original upload system. I'm not sure if we plan on fixing it for the next version of the site.

So how about the current version? Is there any nice guy/admin to fix those files with same name?
Attached is a complete list in tab-seperated value format.
Game Title
Mid File
Track Name
Size
Sequencer
txt file
Long Name

*The system refuses 7z archive file, so I uploaded a bigger zip file instead.
