So is it the same as PoR, where two people just sped through a time trial of rooms?

Yeah, basicallly. It's really challenging at first, but once you get the right glyphs for certain places they become way too easy. It's basically a race through a room, and whoever reaches the end wins. You get points for ending Health, Enemies defeated, and all that good stuff. I'm not sure if more points wins or if first guy wins, as I haven't raced anybody.

Oh, and there's a Shop Mode where you can buy items from each other and what not.
