For everyone, I've forgot something important for the contest:
If you have made your song and want to see if it's ok for the video just tell me and I'll will be able to give it to you.
Also, I want full anonymity for all the entrants, so guys please be fair: don't show the video to someone else or I will eject you from the contest, capisce?

Finally just started doing a bit of mine tonight and intend to finish tomorrow (about 1/2 done or so). Is that enough time to send me the finished sample beforehand? FYI, the syncing should be pretty obvious on mine, but I can provide some specifics when I get it in to you tomorrow. Later. ^_^

For all you guys, I Know I got some requests from lots of you who wants to see their video before the contest, but right now I got a problem with my computer. I'll try to do my best to repair today, but if it ain't working again, Maybe I would push the date to monday or sunday.
But don't worry guys, I'll show your video before the voting starts .

Update: I think it's safe not to expect anything from me this time. Humblest apologies...

My resignation can be attributed to several factors; most notably to the fact that I now have a full-time summer job, and thus much less spare time to spend on making music since I usually come back home pretty late, completely exhausted and having yet to cook and eat dinner. The video I was given to work with also suggests a genre of music that is absolutely everything but what I am competent at composing; combined with the downright ridiculous restriction (comparable to asking someone to buy their groceries without using a grocery cart or a sack of any kind, I reckon) and my utter lack of any inspiration these days, it only makes it much harder (if not impossible) for me to come up with anything.

It's not that I haven't tried though; but with all string ensembles being out of the question, I just can't seem to come up with anything at all. Emphasis on at all. So I prefer to keep what little dignity I have left by stepping out of the competition, rather than go and ruin it all by submitting a half-baked, sub-par, rubbish entry that doesn't represent what I think I truly am capable of.

I'll see if the wind changes direction by tomorrow at midnight; who knows, I may find some last-minute inspiration and come up with something decent after all, but as chances of that happening are definitely not very high, I thought I'd let you know in advance...

So yeah, sorry again, Anubis (and everyone else too). I would've loved working with that idea a bit more, but it seems I just wasn't lucky enough with my match attribution this time.

Hm, in this case, perhaps someone else might like to take your place. They wouldn't have very long to work on it now, I guess, but at least it'd mean Willow doesn't automatically advance.

Quite frankly I don't envy the video you were given either. I would say it requires a lot of subtlety to be convincing, and Microsoft GS is about as subtle as a sack of bricks. That and the no strings limitation is pretty challenging. I'd struggle with it for sure. Perhaps you could think about doing something ambient with bells and harps.

hello! i would be more than happy to step in and try and write something appalling before the end of today - would that be ok? if i take shock's place? have happily been able to find my sequencer of choice again on a different laptop, and have one day of composing time on an msgs. would love the chance, let me know if i'm in!

I say we both try and do something before midnight; if both of us do submit something, my entry is prioritised (because I was there first); if not, you take my place for the rest of the contest (if you do make it past round 1). Sounds good?

whatever works, i'm happy to step down if shock gets one in, or do a 3 way match - either way i have finally managed to write something in 6 months, so just happy about that!

For Everyone, The Voting session will start Sunday 29th at 12:00AM(Eastern Time), so you got one more day left. I apologize for everyone who didn't receive their videos, I got many problems with my computer and I'm doing my best and at the same time go working partial time.
I will try to make the videos for everyone for this afternoon. You will have one more day left.

Also, for Shock and Spudge, I have no problem with that. You two can submit a song before Sunday, But I will take the priority to Shock first.

EDIT: OK i saw on other posts that maybe we could change the first match for 1v1v1. I agreed with that, as long as the three persons submit their songs. If not, then It would be 1v1.

Okay. I know I'm a little late, but PM is sent. I meant to do the rest yesterday, but I was just drawing blanks. Good thing I waited until today. Not sure if I can get a sample this late, but if you could, I'd really appreciate it (timing is pretty specific, otherwise it seems rather off). Details in PM. ^_^
