That will be fun, being able to make our own alias.

Posting in a Zenkusa thread

Ditto. The thing is that June 4th falls right after when I move houses (or flats, strictly speaking). Presumably I will not have internet access immediately after the big move, so I'm not quite sure whether I would be able to enter. I'd love to though, especially since the only music I tend to be doing these days is NSFs. I need an excuse to make MIDIs!

And I already know what alias I'm going to use. :)

Well then! It looks like about half of you are fine with decimal ratings and aliases (I'll assume everyone else is indifferent). To clarify, even with aliases, the entries each round will still be randomized. The aliases are just for the revealing of scores at the end of each round.

There's nothing to talk about?

Oh, that reminds me, will our aliases be revealed with the name of the song when you reveal our scores from a round or will you just use the aliases?

Whadda ya think is going on!? It's the end of the world as we know it! And naturally, I feel just fine. =p

Darkstorm091 wrote:Yeah, just like I'm not pointing at anyone by saying Blast Vortex should be a banned Alias too. :P

Haha. As if that wouldn't be a dead giveaway. =p

It just so happens I have something interesting in mind. And no, it's not anything anyone might think of. Pity that the midis themselves will probably make it far too obvious... x_x;

I was assuming that after point totals and the final results were tallied that people's aliases would be revealed. Otherwise, if it's done for each individual round, then people may have to make a new alias for each round, and that's just going to be too messy for the judge(s) to deal with.

Uh...

Let me rephrase that:
Will our aliases be used with our midis for voting and/or revealing the voting results?

Well, the intention of the alias idea was originally intended specifically for the voting process (so we don't know who we're voting for, though certain stylistic approaches probably make this a little less effective). As for the voting results, it makes more sense than not since otherwise we'd have to come up with a new alias to release a midi under each and every time, which would be a major pain in the butt for the orchestrators of this contest to deal with.

Mind you, I'm going with my best guess(es) on that latter part, but it seems more likely than anything else.

I'd like to get in this. I meant to say something about a week or two ago but, I've been bogged down with finals and graduation stuff.

As much as I'd love to participate, I'll be too busy to do anything for the next 80 or so days.

Sorry man, you know how much I love these competitions :(
