You got me scratching my head there...

I'm done with production for now (Not really feeling the need to do much more here...). I'll just sit back, relax, and wait 'til the month is over...

There is at least one done, though, so I'm definitely in.
My game music works:
Scribble Star by Winzenheimer and the Stencyl Team
Nine Pixel Game by KungFuFurby (my own creation! ^_^)
Arkanaut by Manuel/Satelite Play
Blackheist by Manuel/Satelite Play

And some others that haven't been released yet.

Finally, I have a solid song going! Every night I sit down and do work on it, and it's coming along at a wonderful speed. I'm learning a lot of new things this contest. Most importantly this:

Stop writing what I want to write, whatever things come to my head first, and start writing what gets the emotion across most.
I sometimes make belief and pretend I can compose

I agree with that last statement.

Anyway, I don't think I'll have a song this year, I'm sorry to say. Too many things going on.

There doesn't seem to be a lot happening. Hope people are working on stuff to submit at the last minute!

I haven't even started yet, but I'm getting in the mood for it now that I'm more settled into using my new comp. If there aren't many submissions or people are not going to participate based on time constraints I recommend extending the deadline by a week or two (it ran a bit early anyhow on my recommendation, which I guess it probably shouldn't have in hindsight :I)

It's been hectic lately due to midterms (which are ongoing), but I've got about a minute's worth of an entry so far and feeling good about getting it done. A week's extension might be nice, at any rate.

I've noticed that too. Where is everyone? Obviously getting on with their lives, I guess, but usually they pop in from time to time and join in on the periodic fun. But this time we seem to be getting very little of that.

I'm all in favor of extending the deadline too. I thought it was too short considering the inactivity of these forums, but never bothered to say anything.

hi I thought I'd pop in and say: YEAH I've got two tiny pieces of songs that could feasibly become submissions.
I'll probably make it in by march 1, but only barely, and with only (????) 2 songs.

here's the delay for me: OH GOD FEBRUARY IS SO HECTIC FOR SOME REASON THIS YEAR AAAAAAA, and also school.
that, and I have no impulse control so I've been making a billion sketches and no real music. (they're cool sketches though!)

about an extension...
I am totally in favor of an extension, but not if I'm the only reason for it.

I jumped the gun, as usual, but in a much smaller set than usual. Didn't have a real need to produce that many tunes, especially when I do have game music that I could be producing. Either that, or handling real life. I swear, each time I'm on my Mac, it's like I'm Clark Kent... I'm effectively my alter ego that you see here. Temporairly detached from some of the reality of what's going on around me...

I'm also much in favor of an extension. I have a few things started that I've been working on, but with the current deadline, what I submit will be pretty poor if I have to abide by it. Given that many other people feel similarly I think an extension would make sense.

So is it possible to join the contest, even if you haven't submitted samples? I'd really like to participate in a SPC.

I just went through all the samples, and I have to say, they are pretty amazing. Possible the best samples so far in the history of SPCs.

I could imagine making something out of those.

Oh man, thank you! I'm also having a really busy month and haven't started anything yet and was about to come and say I was giving up! Now with two more weeks I'm sure I'll be able to cook something up~

Luke, you should also update the first post and thread title for those who aren't following the posts here.
