So Butzaw, you have plans to start a new one someday?

Like I said, I really don't have the time to run such a thing again, as things in life currently are for me. So someone else should be the host of the next one.

One major lesson learned for sure, from this first album, is the need for a theme. This final album is pretty much all over the place in terms of style, which makes for a rather weird listening experience. I think if a second project ever occurs, a unified theme is a good idea.

If you ask me, I'd prefer to have a third Sample Pack contest instead of a second album project. :P

I honestly didnt think the first album proj was over the place, sure it showcased different styles (I admit mine was pretty "out there"), but thats what I find appealing. I dunno, I just don't like too much of the same thing sometimes..

A sample pack contest would be groovy! I'd love to see a 8-bit sample comp (like to allow for people to enter NSFs, NSF style MP3s or even tracked chiptunes...)

I thought, more than all over the place, it was more like...how do you put it....you can find that everyone's different and has their own way.

I agree with Sir Camehan too, I havn't created NSFs before but I'd love to do it for an album.

I totally agree. A chiptune album and/or contest would be great.

I would also like to enter the next edition of VGMA Album, if there is one. :)
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, however, there is.

I suggest, ButzaW, that this album be kept in record and this topic finally deleted; as we should start a new album now with all chiptunes.

Problem is, its early days to call for that...Plus, I bet more people are willing to put in thier opinions. Also, I havent decided fully whether to enter the next one or not (but I currently already have a chiptune (sine-based) for that just in case, which didnt make the previous album)...

I'm not at all knowledgable about chiptunes (never had any experience with them), so I'm not sure I'd enter an all-chiptune album ...

I kinda liked hearing everyone's different styles for the last one ... though maybe a guideline as to whether the songs are all-orchestral/all-synthesizer-ish/all-whatever else might be nice. It was kinda weird to hear orchestral pieces on an album mixed with far-out techno, I must admit.
How does Kazooie lay eggs through her mouth? And where on earth are all those eggs stored when she isn't firing them?

Exciting news: Looks like MaliceX will be hosting a new Sample Pack Contest, along with me as a co-host. This still needs a final approval from Willow, the contest/project supervisor man thingie, as well as other final adjustments.

But basically it seems like we'll be having a third SPC soon! I'm already hyped! :D

P.S: This is only in theoretical stages. I'm not guaranteeing anything. A third SPC might not happen at all. But the way things are right now, it should be happening soon enough.

Rocco linked me to lots of Kanno stuff recently, and I have to say I deleted a lot of it. It was all great, but I suppose some of it wasn't memorable enough to keep. I'm pretty harsh with deleting stuff - if I don't see myself listening to it much, it goes before I give myself the chance to get it memorised. The stuff I did keep is excellent though.

SPC#3 should happen. I would run it myself... but meh, mixture of laziness and busyness.

Ah well shucks. As far as the women go though I do like Kajiura just a tad more than Kanno.....because I've heard more Kajiura and Kajiura did Mai-Hime.

I wish this album could be advertised more...like on the main site or something like that. It's just sad, this music is so amazing. Somehow, if no one else does, I'll find a way to get more people to listen.
