Eh don't worry; since the day only was specified, it certainly means the deadline is on midnight into the 15th.
Very much looking forward to hearing your songs, and sorry again for not entering.

The deadline is indeed going to be midnight March 15th, but that will be my midnight so the "+1 GMT" one.

This time might be annoying for people living in America because that will mean they can't really work on it after they get home from their job/school, but I already extended the deadline so there's no excuse for sending your track late.
After all the tracks are in it will take a little while for me to edit the scoreforms and delete all the artist names from the tracks, they will be posted Thursday March 15th between 6:00PM and 9:00PM +1GMT.

Good luck ! :)

"oh, midnight, phew I'm alright"
> GMT+1
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

I have T H R E E songs that only need an intro/outro and they're done...but I apparently lost track of time while juggling these (at the last minute because that's how I roll) and it's now 5 am.
whoops guess I'll have to fix them tomorrow. morning.

just for clarification: due to daylights savings time, "GMT+1" is effectively the same as as saying "GMT+0 on normal day of the year" for americans, right?

My one entry sent.

So what I wound up doing was the poor choice to work on about 4 different entries at the same time gradually since this started. Eventually I realized that at that pace in doing them all at once, none of them would wind up being finished by the deadline so I just picked one and worked mainly on that toward the end. I wish I could have used more samples, I planned to use all of them spread across multiple submissions but obviously I never got to that since I did so much of this last minute.

Here's the current time for GMT. Add one hour and I believe that's the current time in the intended time zone. That would make it about... 4 PM GMT+1 right now?
My game music works:
Scribble Star by Winzenheimer and the Stencyl Team
Nine Pixel Game by KungFuFurby (my own creation! ^_^)
Arkanaut by Manuel/Satelite Play
Blackheist by Manuel/Satelite Play

And some others that haven't been released yet.

I really think that deadline is going to cause some confusion. There may be some people who aren't checking the thread and just assumed that the deadline was closer to midnight in their timezone (for those of us in North America, I think most of us would expect it to be sometime late in the evening). Some people might just be getting home from work/classes then. It would be a shame if any entries were cut out simply because of a misunderstanding. Honestly, I think you should just keep it as a relatively loose deadline, like "midnight in whatever your timezone is." It would be different if the exact cutoff were listed in the main post all along, but you kinda left it until the last minute to clarify.

I agree as well.

I think you should be a bit more lenient about the deadline. Give everyone a good chance to get their songs in, it would suck if anything got left out. Besides, it's not like we're running a business or something where deadlines are crucial and must be met. A few extra hours is no big deal.
Thank you,

oh ok I might be able to make that.

though I'm still going to +1 pongball.

IIRC, for the last round, blitz lunar just went to sleep on the night of the deadline, woke up, collected everything sent "past the deadline" and /then/ built the votepack.
so that'd place the "you're screwed if you haven't submitted yet" deadline at something 10 am (or whenever luke wakes up) GMT+1 time and like 4 am AMERICA time.

I think that'd work well enough~

Bah...this is one of the events I most look forward to every year, and I won't be able to submit even one song this time...:'( Dunno, have been very busy with other stuff, and whenever I tried to write for the SPC I never came up with any decent ideas worth expanding...

Hmm, well, I hope this isn't the last SPC and I hope I'm more inspired next time...

Still, I'd love to help scoring if that's ok! Can't wait to hear what everyone's come up with~

Yeah, unfortunately I'll have to bow out on this one. Just not in the mindset to or something since the start of the new year, haven't really been able to write anything of consequence. Hopefully the next one will see me at in a better state.

Song sent. I am more than pleased with how it turned out, and I am confident it portrays what I wanted it to. It was sort of birthed out of an idea that has been simmering for a while.

Here's for hoping we'll have an awesome group of songs!

You know something? If I were running this, I might give leinence all the way to the international date line... hmm...

I myself haven't hosted a compo in a few years at the least.
