Game System: Super Nintendo
Game Name: BS-X: the Story of the Town Whose Name Was Stolen (Japan)
Song Title: Sample Song 7 (GS)
Sequenced by: UTF8
Other Information: Here's a MIDI cover of a song that's too obscure to have a proper name. It's been called "Sample Song 7" on YouTube, and isn't accessible in the BS-X BIOS game normally.

After doing some research, I believe this is one of the songs that would play while reading one of the many downloadable magazines for the Satellaview. Notably, this song was also heard during the final day of Satellaview's service. Farewell, Satella players! There's a bittersweet, melancholic feeling to this music track, and I liked it enough to create a MIDI of it.

Some notes for this submission:

This MIDI utilizes multiple GS events, such as Chorus and Reverb, along with instruments such as Sine Wave and 808 Tom, so make sure your MIDI player supports these events.

I used the OmniMIDI driver with an .sf2 version of gm.dls to test playback, and Domino 1.43 was used to create this MIDI.

There's a twinkly percussion sound in the SNES original that I replicated using multiple layers of Music Box notes. I think it's supposed to be a glockenspiel, but the default MIDI glockenspiel is weird and detuned-sounding, so I avoided using it.

The drum track is built up with an 808 Tom, pitched-down drumkit kick, and underlying deep sine wave all coming together to recreate the deep bassy drums from the SNES version. Unfortunately, this method to build the drum track only sounds good with the default MIDI soundfont. Some modifications will have to be done to adapt this MIDI to other soundfonts.

Lastly, the loopStart and loopEnd points for this song are delayed by one measure so that the final notes from the lead horns can play properly.

Anyway, I don't think there are a lot of people looking for MIDI covers for obscure Nintendo peripherals from the 1990s, so whoever's out there reading this, I hope you enjoy this MIDI :)
